NWSSS or North West Skye Sunday Swim group meet most Sunday mornings for a swim. It’s just for fun and we snorkel around until we can bear the cold water no longer, which in most cases is 15 – 30 minutes. A few hardy souls go in without wetsuits (myself included). This morning we met at Ardmore, a sheltered sandy bay. It was lovely to swim around with my goggles on looking at all the patterns of light shimmering on the ocean floor and swimming around the clumps of seaweed. The evening before I had been to a friend’s 60th birthday ceilidh and drank more than was sensible, so this was the perfect hangover cure. After the swim we went for a bacon butty and a hot drink. It’s been amazing weather for the last few days with barely a cloud in the sky!
