South Skye

It was such a lovely day today, I decided to take a trip down to the south end of Skye for the day. I certainly picked the right day as it felt like the first proper spring day. The day started nippy but by lunch time I had dispensed with my coat and was feeling comfortably warm just wearing a cardigan. I started by having a walk on the sands at Broadford Bay before driving to Kylerhea and then onto the north side of the Sleat peninsula. The photo above was taken at Ord.

I then drove a couple more miles to Tokavaig and found the path to Dunscaith Castle (above). It wasn’t a long walk but the ruined castle is set admidst stunning scenery and I spent a happy time pottering around on the cliff tops and down on the rocky beach below.
