A windy walk

This morning I took a walk to Coral Beach. There was only one other car in the car park which is unheard of! A couple of minutes into my walk I met the owners of the car on their way back. The lady told me to ‘mind the wind’. I didn’t think it was that bad until I walked on a bit further and then knew exactly what she meant! It was a cold wind too, with the odd hailstorm thrown in, but now and then the sun popped out from the clouds and turned the sea aqua blue. This photo was taken on the way back from Coral Beach.

The problem with photographs – you look at that glorious view, the aquamarine sea. the white sands and the rocks and seaweed and think … oh so beautiful…. But then when you remember that it is February and it was a windy day and it is in Skye – then you have to remind yourself how chilly it can be!

So true. The weather for the last 3 days have been sunny and calm and those spells almost make up for all the wind and the rain and the cold! Do you know Skye well?
