Wild Camping

While out with my camera this evening I spotted these two guys having a barbecue and setting up camp by Loch Dunvegan and stopped to ask if I could take their photo.

Wild camping is permitted in Scotland under the Land Reform Act 2003. The code requires campers to:

  • take away all litter
  • remove all traces of tent pitch and of any open fire (follow the guidance for lighting fires)
  • not cause any pollution.
