Dunvegan

This is the scene I pass just after I turn out of Kinloch Follart Guest House when I finish work. The village of Dunvegan is on the right of the picture. Dunvegan is about 10 miles from where I live and is the nearest place with shops. There are galleries (including one that specialises in Alpaca’s), cake shop/cafe, gift shop/cafe, fish and chips, restaurant, bakers, post office, general store, hotel, petrol station, garage, school, health centre, campsite and last but not least a castle!

Dunvegan Castle has been the ancestral home of the Chiefs of clan MacLeod for 800 years. You never know, maybe one of those MacLeod’s will take a liking to me and invite me to stay!
